Tropical Storm Andrea brought wind and rain across Florida Thursday, making official landfall at 5:40 p.m. Thursday evening and she's headed toward Connecticut.

The National Weather Service has issued a flash flood watch for most of Connecticut, including Middletown, through Saturday afternoon. Temps Friday should hover around the low 60s and tonight in the low 50s.

Tropical Storm Andrea is quickly transitioning into a post-tropical / extratropical cyclone, the NWS says, with maximum sustained winds at 45 mph. She's moving through the Carolinas and is expected to produce 2-4 inches of rain, with locally higher amounts, as it moves up the Eastern Seaboard through Saturday.
