Russell Library Hosting 2 Affordable Health Care Act Programs

Have questions about enrolling in President Obama's new health care coverage? Middletown's library is offering a Q&A session on Nov. 21 and an enrollment day on Dec. 7.

The Russell Library is hosting a program about Obamacare, called The Affordable Care Act: What You Need to Know Now on Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. in the Hubbard Room, 123 Broad Street, Middletown.    

Randi Oster, the consumer advocate for Connecticut's Health Exchange, certified by the state on the Affordable Care Act and insurance products, will help patrons navigate the changes in health care coverage.

The application deadline for insurance coverage by Jan. 1, 2014, is Dec. 15.

Oster will be answering questions such as:

  • What are the top 10 changes I need to know about?
  • How much will the new insurance cost?
  • What is the penalty if I don't purchase insurance?
  • Will my Medicare deduction change? 

This program is free and open to the public.

How will the Affordable Care Act impact you?

Affordable Care Act Enrollment Day is Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Russell Library. 

Are you ready to sign up for insurance through the Affordable Care Act but would like some assistance? If so, join us for Enrollment Day at the Russell Library.

One-half hour appointments are being booked for those who would like to obtain insurance coverage for individuals or families. A state certified "navigator" will walk you through the entire process from the beginning to end.
