NoRA Cupcake Hosting United Way 'Saved by Bell' Trivia Contest

You're invited to the Middlesex United Way Young Leaders Society meet-up Thursday featuring questions about the wildly popular 1990s television sitcom, cupcakes, pizza and refreshments.

Remember when Saturday mornings had you glued to the television watching the antics of Zach, Screech, Jessie, Lisa and Mr. Belding at Bayside High? Here's a chance to excise those random bits of information you've had no use for in the past 20 years.

The Middlesex United Way Young Leaders Society is hosting a “Saved by the Bell” Trivia contest at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at NoRA Cupcake Company, 700 Main St., Middletown.

The cost to play is $5, and free cupcakes donated by NoRA Cupcake Company, pizza and snacks will be available.

Want to brush up on your Saved by the Bell trivia? Mental Floss has complied a number of questions to get you started, including:

  • What fictional "famous" actor comes to Bayside High School to film an anti-drug commercial, despite rampant, illicit drug use?
  • When Lisa gets a little crazy with her father's credit card after making the honor roll at Bayside and buys an outfit that would make Vivian Westwood swoon, what job does she take in order to earn the money to pay him back?
Can't make this event but want to join the Middlesex United Way Young Leaders Society? Consider its mission to provide community involvement, personal development and networking for young professionals ages 21-40 who live and work in Middlesex County.

Its mission is to create opportunities for young professionals to get involved with Middlesex United Way, connect with colleagues and community leaders and give back to advance the common good.

Here are the group's next few gatherings.
