Middletown Riding Center Raising Money for Indoor Facility

This non-profit organization is looking to conduct year-round programs through a future riding center.

Manes & Motions, a therapeutic riding center in Middletown, is raising money to build an indoor riding arena.

According to The Hartford Courant, the area will allow the company — which opened in 1999 and has helped several different groups since then — to conduct it's programs year-round.

Manes & Motions Therapeutic Riding Center is a non-profit organization which provides therapy for children and adults living with physical, cognitive and/or emotional disabilities through the benefits of equine-assisted activities, according to the group's listing on Patch.

According to the group's website, "the site plan calls for a 10,580 square-foot indoor riding arena plus a classroom, observation area, offices and restrooms at a cost of $600,000. The addition of an indoor arena opens the doors for improved and enhanced services for all of our riders with special needs."
