Middletown Area Transit to Increase Fares Jan. 6

Rate hike is first since 2003 and affects all routes and age groups.

A release from Middletown Area Transit:

The Middletown Area Transit (MAT) will increase fares on MAT’s Fixed and Rural Route buses effective Monday, Jan. 6.  MAT will also increase its Paratransit ADA/Dial-A-Ride fares. This is MAT’s first system wide increase since 2003.

On the same date, MAT will introduce their new bus schedules. The new schedules are more comprehensive and detailed. All of the bus routes are under one cover, and all routes have a corresponding map. Most of the time schedules are the same with some modifications. Passengers are asked to preview the schedules on MAT’s website at middletownareatransit.org.
