There's a happy ending for the 5-year-old Yorkie Terrier who went missing Wednesday night from his family, Eggie and Cookie Quinones of Middetown's Green Street Arts Center.

Ryan from Wesleyan University's Green Street Arts Center tells Middletown Patch Lucky was turned in to Middletown Animal Control and was able to return home Thursday afternoon.

The Green Street Arts Center Facebook post shared the news that Lucky was discovered before the worst of the snowstorm and subzero temperatures overnight.

"Great news Middletown friends! Lucky has been found safe and sound!! Mr. Eggie and Miss Cookie want to thank everyone for their help!!"

I have been thinking about the odds against the animals out in this deep chill. Poor babies. Congrats Lucky and owners!
