Is Your Home a Healthy One — Free of Mold, Radon, Lead and Other Issues?

Tina McCarthy, Epidemiologist for the State Department of Public Health, is the guest on the next edition of the health-information radio program sponsored by the City of Middletown.

Tina McCarthy, Epidemiologist for the State Department of Public Health, is the guest on the next edition of the health-information radio program — Healthline. She will discuss Connecticut’s Healthy Homes Initiative.

The goal of the Healthy Homes Initiative is to promote health and well-being through a safe and healthy-home environment. 

This is accomplished by addressing physical, chemical, and toxic hazards in the home. Environmental health issues such as lead, mold, and radon can be prevented or remedied through a variety of ways including ventilation, humidity control, and cleanliness.
