Future of Middletown Methodist Church Building in Question

A 200-person Methodist church in Middletown is weighing its options as to whether it wants to continue to operate in its centuries-old location.
The First United Methodist Church has been facing rising expenses in up-keeping the property at Old Church Road on the Middletown green, and it is considering whether or not to stay in the building,The Middletown Press reported.
“As much as we love this building, the building may not be the best way in the current world to be faithful in our call to serve,” the Rev. Stefanie Bennett told the newspaper.
