CATALES Seeking Homes for Three Cats Owner Can't Keep

The folks at the Middletown-based Connecticut Association To Assure Love & End Suffering are desperately trying to find homes for three cats who will be homeless by Nov. 1. Their owner, a local priest, is being moved to a new rectory, while his current one is being renovated. 

He is told, by his superior, according to Sarah of CATALES, that he can no longer keep his cats on the premises and he needs to find a home for them.

The priest, whom Sarah says she can't name because of privacy issues, is serving at a church that's in the Middletown area. He's hoping that whomever adopts his beloved felines will be willing to allow him visiting rights.

"He is extremely attached to his fuzzy children and is in absolute despair over this," Sarah says. "He is spreading the word through his church, through other priests and individuals in the community."

CATALES is where two of his felines were adopted and he has purchased them many items such as cat condos, toys, litter boxes, cat perches and wants these items to go with them to their next home, which will help cut costs for the new owner. 

They are very sweet, in great health and up-to-date on their vet visits, according to Sarah.

Shalom, Shimon and Rifka need a forever home asap. We really would love to keep them together, but know it may not be possible. The two 2-year-old cats, who are siblings, Shalom and Shimon, need to stay together if someone cannot take them all and Rifka, the male 8-year-old, can be taken alone, although the priest is hoping the trio will be adopted intact.
