MxCC Professor Honored at Connecticut Campus Compact

Professor Greg Horne of Middlesex Community College was awarded the 2013 President’s Choice Award at the Connecticut Campus Compact’s 15th Anniversary Awards Breakfast on June 12. Professor Horne received the Presidents' Choice Award for demonstrating a sustained commitment to the civic and economic health of communities in Connecticut.

“Professor Horne truly deserves to be recognized for his dedication and commitment to education and the community,” said Anna Wasescha, MxCC president.  “On behalf of everyone at MxCC, we congratulate Professor Horne.”

Since the fall of 1971, Professor Horne has taught at Middlesex Community and has just retired from full time teaching this past May. Over the past 41 years, Professor Horne has touched the lives of over 10,000 students.  Over the course of his career, he has established internships and other community partnerships with over 150 agencies around Middlesex County, including serving on the founding boards of several organizations that are pillars of the local social service community.
