MIDDLESEX HOSPITAL TO CELEBRATE WORLD BREASTFEEDING WEEK

Middlesex Hospital’s Pregnancy and Birth Center will host a celebration of World Breastfeeding Week on Tuesday, August 6 at the hospital. The theme of this year’s celebration is “Breastfeeding Support: Close to Mothers.”

The event will begin at 10:00 a.m. in Middlesex Hospital’s North One meeting room. The celebration honors all of the families who have chosen to breastfeed and the community of support that it takes to be successful.

The event is free and open to all breastfeeding mothers and their families in the community. After some brief welcome remarks, those in attendance will take a ceremonial walk around the area near the hospital and then return to the hospital to listen to several lactation consultants discuss the benefits of breastfeeding.
