Holiday Light Recycling In Middletown

City of Middletown offers Holiday Light Recycling Program

Please don’t throw away those strings of lights that don’t work anymore!  The Holiday Light Recycling program is open in Middletown.  Residents can bring strings of old Holiday lights to the Middletown Recycling Center from December 23 – January 30 for recycling.

Lights should be loose (not in boxes or any other packaging).  Do not include any other apparatus with the lights and wind them up to avoid excessive tangling.  The light recycling box is located in the Household Electronic Recycling Container.  Bulbs will be separated from the wires and recycled.

The Middletown Recycling Center is open Monday – Friday 7am – 3pm and the first and third Saturday of the month 7am – 12noon.  A Connecticut drivers license with a Middletown address is required to use the Recycling Center.

For more information, contact the City Recycling Coordinator at 860-638-4855 or kim.orourke@middletownct.gov.
