Boy Scouts Will Help Residents Clean Up After the Holiday

Scouts from Troop 270 in Durham will provide Christmas tree removal for the third year-in-a-row.

Starting in 2011 at twenty-nine trees to pick up and utilizing five drivers and eight scouts, the Christmas tree removal grew to sixty trees, eight drivers and eleven scouts in 2012.

Troop 270 will be running this annual service and fundraiser event again this year and hope to increase their tree pick up and need for scout involvement for 2013.

If you would like to be relieved of Christmas tree disposal this year, please call 860-349-2370 or email Troop270DurhamCT@aol.com to schedule a pickup for your home.  Pick up dates are December 28, January 4, 11.  Serving Durham, Middlefield, Rockfall, and surrounding areas.  Donations are greatly appreciated.
