Connecticut high school students and others interested in learning more about attending college are invited to College Goal Sunday, a free workshop at Middlesex Community College on January 27, 2013 from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
At College Goal Sunday, students and parents can talk to experts and get in-depth help filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). In addition to receiving assistance in filling out the FAFSA, participants will receive general information regarding state and federal financial aid programs.
The College Goal Sunday program was created by the Indiana Student Financial Aid Association with funding from Lilly Endowment, Inc., and with supplemental support from Lumina Foundation for Education. Founded in 1966, Middlesex Community College (mxcc.edu) is part of the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities Board of Regents for Higher Education. The school offers more than 50 degree or certificate programs at the main, 38-acre campus in Middletown, the downtown Meriden Center, and online.
