Middletown resident and junior at Chase Collegiate School, Nico deGroot, was one of fifteen students recognized for their outstanding accomplishments in the study of foreign language at the school’s annual National Foreign Language Induction Ceremony. The students distinguished themselves in their respective foreign language programs, including maintaining an average of 90 in their language for at least two years.
Nico de Groot was one of six students inducted into the French National Honor Society. Three students were inducted into the National Junior Classical League (Latin) Honor Society and six students into La Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica.
An academic cornerstone of Chase Collegiate School is foreign language instruction, which begins in pre-Kindergarten. Chase Collegiate School is co-ed day school in the classic independent school tradition with students from pre-K3 through grade 12.
