Auction Committee Updates "Taste of Xavier" List

The 20th Annual Xavier Auction committee met in preparation for the event which will take place at the school on February 11th from 6 – 10pm.

The theme for this year's auction is "A MardiGras Celebration" featuring "A Taste of Xavier" where several area restaurants will present items from their menus to delight the attendees. Mrs.Melissa Williams, general chairperson for the auction, announced that thenumber of restaurants that will be participating has grown to almost two dozen and several more have expressed interest in contributing. "As of now," said Mrs. Williams, "we have appetizers, main dishes, beverages and delicious desserts. Our guests will be able to find great dining choices as they sample items from these terrific restaurants." A list of the restaurants and their samplings follows.

The committee is organizing the silent and live auction items and preparing all the details to complete theevening.  Bill Barrows of B & SAuction Service in Portland will act as the auctioneer and Director of Admissions Brother Thomas Fahey, C.F.X., a.k.a."the Voice of Xavier", will be the emcee for the Live Auction at the event.
