Cat Shelter to Host 'Bark and Boo'

Local cat shelter hosts fundraising event to benefit homeless and injured animals.

Catales, a Middletown non-profit organization dedicating to improving the lives of homeless cats and kittens, is hosting its second annual "Bark and Boo" 1.5 mile trick or treat walk. All proceeds will go to support, feed and shelter those "purrfect" pets waiting for adoption.

The event will take place on October 22nd from 2-5pm at Veteran's Memorial Park (Walnut Grove Road), Middletown.  There will be a $5 entry fee and walkers are encouraged to wear their Halloween costume.  Trick or treat bags will be provided.  Bring your parents, bring your kids and bring your pets and support the volunteers who care for adorable pets like Spencer.

Spencer has a birth defect which causes paralysis and neurological issues.  He may need surgery to amputate legs so that he can be more mobile.  Volunteers are helping to love and care for Spencer and give him a chance at living.

Many other animals just like Spencer, will get a chance at a future thanks to Catales and sponsors who help make all of it possible.  If you'd like to adopt a cat or want more information about catales, you can visit their website at www.catales.org.
