Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: McKenzie is not your typical 9-year-old girl, she is extremely well-rounded. She is a wonderful big sister to Emma, 6. She loves animals, she cares for her two dogs (Esther and Tina), four pet rats (Cody, Bean, Stalk and Oreo) and a toad that she found on the street and named it Lizzy.

Well, as we can see McKenzie sure does love animals, she also enjoys helping out her community, she is an active member in the 4H Program which works to prepare young people to make a positive impact in their communities and the world.

McKenzie also excels in school; she is a great student that is very empathic and ambitious. She plays the saxophone, plays basketball — winning many trophies for her skills and leadership. As if this is not enough, McKenzie also has great skills in both math and reading. She takes part in an after-school program at Spencer, the Young Scholars Academy.

McKenzie loves to read Harry Potter books — she is now reading the last book in the series. Her favorite food is hot wings.

Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: “I’m awesome because I try hard,” said McKenzie.
