PD: Woman Stopped For DUI Drank Sanitizer

Middletown Police say a city woman drove her car recklessly at more than twice the legal blood alcohol limit after consuming hand sanitizer gel.

A 36-year-old city woman is facing a DUI charge after she admitted to drinking hand sanitizer and nearly crashed her car while two officers had stopped another driver, according to Middletown Police.

On Oct. 5, officers conducting a motor vehicle stop on Rapallo Avenue saw a car driven by Jennifer Amanda Wilcox, 36, of Russell Street come around a corner and pass them at a high rate of speed, spin out of control and nearly collide with the stopped car, the report indicates.
