Middlesex Hospital Names New Vice President

Jacquelyn G. Calamari has worked at Middlesex since 1978.

 

Jacquelyn G. Calamari has been appointed vice president of Patient Care Services/Chief Nursing Officer at Middlesex Hospital.

Calamari has been a nurse manager at Middlesex Hospital since 1978. She has served as interim chief nursing officer since August of this year. Previously, she was director of emergency and inpatient services and director of the hospital’s Emergency Department.

Calamari is a certified nurse executive/advanced. She received both a bachelor’s of science degree and a master’s of science in Nursing from Saint Joseph College in West Hartford and also holds a master’s of science degree in management from Rensselaer. She is also certified in emergency nursing.

She is on the board of the Organization of Nurse Executives, a member of Sigma Theta Tau International and the Emergency Nurses Association. She has received a Nightingale Award, the Sigma Theta Tau Leadership Award and the Nursing Leadership Award from the Connecticut Emergency Nurses Association.
