Couple Charged With Crack Dealing

Middletown Police say they found 23 grams of crack cocaine, marijuana, a .22 caliber handgun and narcotic paraphernalia including scales and packaging materials.

Two Glover Place residents were arrested Tuesday on narcotics dealing, risk of injury and related charges after Middletown Police served a warrant on a 30-year-old convicted felon, according to a press release.

On Dec, 27, the Street Crime Unit and Patrol Division went to the first floor of 11 Glover Place with a warrant for Ira Lacks after residents complained of drug activity. Lacks, a convicted felon, Jessica Lombardi, 35, and a 15-year-old boy were the residents, police say.

Detectives saw Lacks get into a car and was found with 2.9 grams of crack cocaine. In the house, the report says, police and a narcotic canine found an additional 20.4 grams of crack cocaine, 8.7 grams of marijuana, a .22 caliber handgun, and narcotic paraphernalia including scales and packaging materials.

Lombardi was later located and taken into custody. The Department of Children and Families was contacted about the juvenile.

The arrest report details that Lombardi was held on a $50,000 bond and Lacks on a $200,000 bond and both were charged with: possession of crack cocaine, possession with intent to sell, and within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana, and with intent to sell, and with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia, risk of injury to a minor.

Lacks was also charged with criminal possession of a firearm.
