Cops: Meriden Girl Attacks Aunt

18-Year-Old Girl Drags Aunt By Hair, Slaps Her Head Because She Allegedly Let Boyfriend Disrespect Family Member

Middletown Police report the following incidents:

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY — On June 5, Daniel Riggio, 23, of Roast Meat Hill Road, Killingworth, was a passenger in a car stopped by Berlin Police. He had active warrants from Middletown and West Hartford from Feb. 4 on East Main Street.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT — On June 4, Alyssa M. Giuliano, 18, of Elm Street, Meriden, was at 1557 Country Club Road on the report of a disturbance. She grabbed her aunt by her hair, pulled her and repeatedly slapped the back of her head. The boyfriend witnessed the incident. She was upset with her aunt because her boyfriend made an inappropriate comment to a family member and she failed to do anything.

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY, CRIMINAL ATTEMPT — On June 4, Jacob J. Arkenbout, 44, of Knollwood Drive, Wallingford, was locked up by Wallingford Police and returned to Middletown for an outstanding warrant from Dec. 4, 2010.

FIRST-DEGREE IDENTITY THEFT, CRIMINAL IMPERSONATION — Gaby S. Sierra, 19, of Washington Street, New Britain, was picked up by New Britain Police on a Middletown warrant

SECOND-DEGREE BREACH OF PEACE — On June 4, Ahmed Kakay, 27, of Plaza Drive was at Harbor Park causing a disturbance. Kakay was heavily intoxicated, yelling and cursing. He refused all police commands to settle down. This was during the regatta and the park was extremely crowded. An ambulance was called for detox, to which Kakay said, “[expletive] you, white cops.” He was asked to sit down, then stood up and came toward officers again swearing.

POSSESSION CRACK COCAINE, POSSESSION COCAINE, AND WITHIN 1,500 FEET OF SCHOOL, AND WITH INTENT TO SELL, AND WITHIN 1,500 FEET OF SCHOOL — On June 3, Eugene Chamblee, 45, of Wall Street was involved in a heated argument at the corner of Main and Green streets. Chamblee was asked why he was fighting and responded, “I ain’t no rat.” He handed over two cell phones with a plastic bag in between with cocaine inside. Police found another bag of cocaine on him.

FIVE COUNTS EACH RISK OF INJURY TO MINOR, CRUELTY TO PERSONS — On June 3, Jessie Meeks, 23, of Berlin Street was arrested from an April 15 incident in which her children were found filthy and malnourished at home.

POSSESSION UNDER 4 OZ MARIJUANA, TOWN ORDIANANCE VIOLATION, RECKLESS USE OF HIGHWAY BY PEDESTRIAN — On June 3, Steven Roberts, 26 of Main Street was crossing Main Street when the do-not-walk sign was lit, during heavy traffic. Two cars had to stop short to avoid hitting him, one nearly rear-ended the other. He was carrying a 22-ounce bottle of beer. He was found with 13.9 grams of marijuana in his pocket.

PROSTITUTION — On June 2, Laura Ford, 44, of 127 Grand Street was in the parking lot with a male engaging in sex. The male said he had given Ford $20 in exchange for oral sex. Ford, who has prior convictions for drug use and prostitution, denied the allegations but later admitted to the charges. 

POSSESSION UNDER 4 OZ MARIJUANA, POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO SELL, POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA — On June 1, Matthew Markie, 24, of Diana Road, Plantsville, was driving on Main Street with a plastic cover over his rear plate. The odor of marijuana was coming from the car; police found a baggie with 1 ounce inside, a marijuana cigarette weighing 1.3 grams and a digital scale.

POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, AND WITHIN 1,500 FEET OF SCHOOL, POSSESSION UNDER 4 OZ MARIJUANA, ILLEGALLY TINTED WINDOWS — On May 31, Adremi D. Busari, 32, of Frazier Avenue was driving south on High Street with tinted windows. The officer smelled marijuana coming from the car and found a digital scale with cocaine residue, a razor, .1 gram of marijuana, rolling papers and partially burnt marijuana cigarette.

SIXTH-DEGREE LARCENY, OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE WITH SUSPENDED DRIVERS LICENSE, MISUSE OF MARKER PLATE, OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE WITHOUT INSURANCE — On May 31, Nicole Pearson, 48, of Saybrook Road was driving on deKoven Drive with a stolen plate on her car.

FAILURE TO WEAR SEAT BELT, OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE WITH SUSPENDED DRIVERS LICENSE — On May 30, Robert W. Hills, 18, of Brooks Road was driving on Spring Street without a seatbelt.

OPERATING MOTOR VEHICLE WITH SUSPENDED REGISTRATION — On May 29, Kesha L. Redding, 22, of Taylor Court, Willimantic, was driving on Main Street weaving in the travel lane.

POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA, POSSESSION UNDER 4 OZ MARIJUANA — On May 25, Derek M. Bazar, 28, of Rock Landing Road, Haddam Neck, was driving on Spring Street not wearing a seatbelt. The officer smelled marijuana coming from the car and Bazar admitted to having some marijuana (.4 grams) and a pipe under the seat.
